Nothing about this movie works. It is way too obvious, it's got cheesy special effects, it feels like a 1980's film with the jokes, and it's trying too hard.Full Review

Through it all, Jason Momoa... tosses off coyly bluff one-liners with understated humor that goes to waste in this bloated and sludgy movie.Full Review

Veteran cinematographer Don Burgess's widescreen images beguile, and Bill Brzeski's production design impresses mightily, but next time, someone please give Momoa and company some memorable dialogue.Full Review

Had this movie arrived as recently as two years ago, it might have been heralded as a higher-end superhero movie. Things have changed, however, in both the DCEU and the MCU.Full Review

Somehow, Warner Bros produced an Aquaman movie wilder and more epic than the one Vinnie Chase starred in on "Entourage," and they didn't even need to get James Cameron to do it.Full Review

Nicole Kidman kills a TV with a trident. Black Manta yells "Call me Black Manta!" Ocean Master yells "Call me Ocean Master!" Aquaman yells "I am Aquaman!" If you take a shot every time someone does a superhero landing, your liver turns into a puffer fish.Full Review

Sad. High hopes but horrible plot line, bad acting, stolen themes from GOT.
best movie i have never seen before
went in with low expectations because of other reviews but the movie was great! Goes above what you would expect from the genre and is a fresh change of pace for DC. Has a lot of tacky parts (mera is over-sexualized, one liners aren't amazing, story is basic, etc. ) but you don't really expect more from a superhero movie based on comic books. I love how true they stayed to the books although costumes were a little too shiny and overdone for my taste. What really made it were the great action scenes, solid acting and cast, and amazing graphics!! Extremely (debatably unnecessarily) dramatic shots that defined it and just enough heart and likeable characters to keep the viewer pulled in. Definitely not perfect but still has strong value and left me excited for a sequel!
Of all the comic book super hero movies of the last 5 or so years, this was the worst in my book.
One of the worst superhero movies to date i would compare this to like a stupid action movie like fast and furious or transformser with useless action bad cg
Very bad story and super cheesy. There were about 30 slo-mo scenes that belonged in the 80's. Overall just very stupid. Don't waste your 5 hard-earned dollars on this junk.
It's a fun ride. Rating:72
Did i love it no, did i hate it no...it was cool
Their is a lot of CGI that could of taken another pass over in post production. It is kinda entertaining in some points but most of the time its very dull. Lots of action sequences that are generic. The Villian seemed like a weak set up. Some scenes seem like the actors weren't even the same room when reading their lines, due to the ever changing tones from line to line.
